The client’s brief was simple, but complex in its execution. NCL Commercial was appointed to execute the clients brief and create a modern Balinese take on resort style living.  The feel to the home had to create a place where the family could celebrate the coming of the years with their children and entertain family and friends.

Contemporary lines, open voids and large spanning opening spaces were all components of the extensive build. Cedar, glass and clean white crisp walls are the dominant foundation for the build. Rooms concealed behind invisible timber doors, travertine walled powder rooms and timber detailing take on a life of their own and encourage a sense of calm resort style living within the restrained colour palette favoured by the clients.

The home has an innate ability to exude intimacy and domesticity and offers a gentle reminder that despite its scale and vast proportions, this home is for a mature couple with their family and grandchildren celebrating around the way in which they want to live.
