Upmarket Waterfront Duplex

Creating a unique stylish four bedroom duplex on the beautiful waterfront of the gold coast was what our client specified. A clever deign encompassing all views of the stunning Gold Coast water was essential and giving the home the identity of contemporary design.

Offering naturally illuminated spaces from the volume of glass that provide functionality and carefully considered zoning, gives an introspective aspect and a welcoming home to a family of four.

The distinct architectural layering of concrete, glass and cedar, add warmth and texture to the project. Internally, an American Oak open tread staircase is shadowed by double height windows, allowing natural light to flood into the main passageway creating a stunning atrium at the entry. Features such as a textured granite add another dimension to the design of the project and a juxtaposition to the neutral kitchen palette favoured by the clients.

With expansive corridors and clever integration between zones, this duplex establishes a spatial continuity between the main living areas. Clean lines and symmetry were key within the cube-like structure, allowing spaces to be cleverly divided without compromising the flow between living spaces.
